Your role
This is a senior position within our Sourcing team. You will be expected to build deep relationships with your business stakeholders and to use these relationships to develop, maintain and deliver category strategies for your business area. The role is a trusted advisor to the business, bringing deep prior experience and market insights to both strategic planning, and also project delivery. You will deliver your agreed strategies with the business, helping to continually innovate, mitigate risk and create efficiency
Key Responsibilities
Developing your network of influence in the organisation, across your business stakeholders, Finance, Change, SRM and other important functions;
Establishing category governance and introducing Tier 2 suppliers and preferred supplier lists;
Partnering with senior stakeholders to build strong alignment and collaboration between our teams;
Creating comprehensive category strategies covering short and mid-term targets, aligned to business objectives (including service delivery, value, efficiency & ESG);
Taking personal accountability for category data (spend, risk, contract etc.) and using it to create insight and analysis to influence decision making;
Delivering large global projects via cross-functional teams, from project identification through to contract execution;
Making our ESG objectives real through our supply chain arrangements.
Experience and Qualifications
Deep experience of category management within corporate property (facilities management, real estate, construction) and travel spend areas;
The ability to work collaboratively, spanning organisational boundaries in a global firm, and to influence at a range of levels;
Have developed and delivered comprehensive category strategies in partnership with key senior stakeholders;
The ability to build collaborative relationships;
Have a commercial and analytical mindset, and to articulate ideas via a range of means depending on the audience;
Experience participating on company-wide savings programmes, educating and influencing stakeholders, while delivering transformational strategies.
