About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly influential Programme Director to lead a major cross-enterprise change programme focused on strengthening Fidelity International’s ability to recover and maintain delivery of critical client services during severe disruption.
This is a board-sponsored initiative operating across multiple geographies, business units and technology domains. The role requires exceptional leadership, governance and stakeholder engagement capability to ensure the programme delivers meaningful operational resilience outcomes aligned to regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, governance and delivery of the Business Recoverability Programme
Shape operating models, frameworks and enterprise-wide capabilities to improve recoverability maturity
Influence and challenge C-Suite and senior business leadership to drive alignment and accountability
Coordinate multiple complex workstreams (business, technology, operations and risk)
Ensure remediation outcomes are delivered at pace and to regulatory expectations
Oversee recovery simulations and readiness reviews — turning findings into targeted change
Qualifications
Extensive experience leading enterprise-wide transformation and resilience programmes in a regulated environment
Demonstrable ability to operate with credibility and influence at Executive level, with strong political awareness
Proven track record driving delivery across multiple parallel complex workstreams
Strong understanding of operational resilience principles and business recoverability planning
Skilled in executive governance, risk management and structured programme delivery disciplines
Able to rapidly connect information across functions and drive clarity in complex environments
Required Skills
Proven track record leading multi-year, enterprise-wide transformation programmes
Ability to operate as a peer to ExCo — strong gravitas, political awareness, ability to challenge
Experience delivering change in highly regulated environments (Financial Services strongly preferred)
Deep knowledge of operational/business resilience principles (e.g. critical services, impact tolerances)
Comfort “joining the dots” across risk, cyber, operations, and technology portfolios
Executive-level reporting and risk governance expertise
Preferred Skills
Financial services background
Awareness of cybersecurity and technology recoverability concepts (SMEs are already embedded in the programme)
Relevant industry certifications (e.g. operational resilience, risk or programme management)
