Business Recoverability Programme Director

Location: London (Cannon Street)

Contract: 6 months

Hours: Full Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly influential Programme Director to lead a major cross-enterprise change programme focused on strengthening Fidelity International’s ability to recover and maintain delivery of critical client services during severe disruption.

This is a board-sponsored initiative operating across multiple geographies, business units and technology domains. The role requires exceptional leadership, governance and stakeholder engagement capability to ensure the programme delivers meaningful operational resilience outcomes aligned to regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, governance and delivery of the Business Recoverability Programme

  • Shape operating models, frameworks and enterprise-wide capabilities to improve recoverability maturity

  • Influence and challenge C-Suite and senior business leadership to drive alignment and accountability

  • Coordinate multiple complex workstreams (business, technology, operations and risk)

  • Ensure remediation outcomes are delivered at pace and to regulatory expectations

  • Oversee recovery simulations and readiness reviews — turning findings into targeted change

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise-wide transformation and resilience programmes in a regulated environment

  • Demonstrable ability to operate with credibility and influence at Executive level, with strong political awareness

  • Proven track record driving delivery across multiple parallel complex workstreams

  • Strong understanding of operational resilience principles and business recoverability planning

  • Skilled in executive governance, risk management and structured programme delivery disciplines

  • Able to rapidly connect information across functions and drive clarity in complex environments

Required Skills

  • Proven track record leading multi-year, enterprise-wide transformation programmes

  • Ability to operate as a peer to ExCo — strong gravitas, political awareness, ability to challenge

  • Experience delivering change in highly regulated environments (Financial Services strongly preferred)

  • Deep knowledge of operational/business resilience principles (e.g. critical services, impact tolerances)

  • Comfort “joining the dots” across risk, cyber, operations, and technology portfolios

  • Executive-level reporting and risk governance expertise

Preferred Skills

  • Financial services background

  • Awareness of cybersecurity and technology recoverability concepts (SMEs are already embedded in the programme)

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. operational resilience, risk or programme management)

Equal Opportunity Statement

You’ll join a truly global organisation with strong leadership sponsorship for resilience transformation. We support flexible working, development, and an inclusive culture where you can drive meaningful impact.
