Your role:
This role will require liaison with all stakeholders in First Line Investment risk / Portfolio Construction and Risk (“PCR”) and the Performance Attribution Group (“PAG”) as well as other affected functions such as 2nd Line Investment Risk , Distribution, Client Reporting and Risk and Attribution Technology. Building strong relationships with Portfolio Managers and Investment Directors will also be key to ensure optimal support for the portfolio construction process and the provision of risk and attribution analytics.
This role is responsible for supporting the creation of the risk and attribution analytics reporting services to Portfolio Managers, Investment Directors, Distribution and Client Reporting and will require a good working knowledge of the processes, technology and governance associated with the production of Investment Risk and Attribution analytics for portfolio construction advisory, first line investment risk, risk and attribution data management and data and reporting distribution.
About you
Experience of Investment Management, Distribution and Operational change functions
Previous project management experience within an asset management environment
Experience with business change projects/programmes and prioritisation of competing initiatives
Good understanding of end use of risk and attribution analytics for distribution, client reporting and Portfolio Managers/Investment Directors and the tools and applications used for reporting and distribution of data
Good knowledge and experience of all asset classes Fixed Income, Multi Asset, Equity, Real Estate and Private Assets
Proven ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders at senior levels
Emerging leadership skills to successfully motivate large and diverse teams
End to end project management experience, from initiation to benefit realisation
Key accountabilities
Work with project stakeholders as a change agent to facilitate the effective design of the provision of risk and attribution analytics on a self service basis as well as producing enquiries and reports as required, liaising between between investment risk and attribution groups and data users. The role will also involve refined processes, organisation and governance within PCR, PAG and 2nd line Investment Risk to facilitate the provision of such data.
Ensure that the implementation of the new single risk and attribution platform from MSCI and the new strategic data architecture is optimised to support the provision of risk and attribution analytics to consumer functions such as Distribution and Client Reporting
Work with all data consumers to define requirements and co-ordinate the delivery of these solutions with Risk and Attribution technology
Work with business lines to draw up the criteria for production readiness and ensure that these criteria are met successfully and manage the transition to business as usual operational running.
Attendance at weekly working groups and active engagement in the project governance
Work with the line of business to ensure that their requirements are being fully gathered and addressed
Work with the line of business to plan out migrations to new structures
Work with FIL’s internal risk control functions (1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line) actively to ensure compliance of the design (e.g. processes, organization, business design) to FIL’s risk practices and standards
Build trusted relationships within first and second line Investment Risk, the Attribution team, with the Technology & Change teams, and other delivery partners such as external vendors
