Your role:
Investment Services and Solutions (ISS) is one of the main business pillars and investment areas within Fidelity. It is going through a phase of the rapid and substantial transformation of its business model as well as the Technology estate.
A key component of the transformation is our front office tooling. We are partnering with a fintech company to co-develop their Investment Management System for our next generation cross asset portfolio construction and order generation toolkit. As a Business Analyst within the ISS Delivery team, you will play a key role working with senior Business leaders, Architects and engineers within Fidelity International to facilitate and lead the definition of viable business outcomes and solution requirements to support Fidelity’s Investment management aspirations.
About you
You will be leading a number of analysis tasks within the portfolio management lifecycle with the vision to complete the end-to-end delivery for our ISS’s mutli year Programme.
You will define and develop key user stories, PM workflows, operating models and data flows through the investment management and operational lifecycle. You may also be required to lead and develop other business analysts on the delivery providing leadership, coaching and mentoring when needed. You will display exemplary leadership behaviours aligned to the Fidelity values.
You will ensure the core business goals are understood and will help shape large, high risk and complex initiatives. You will work collaboratively with solution architects, UX designers, product owners and the delivery teams in order to ensure that solutions address the requirements of the business.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an Agile environment using Agile tools and techniques, behaviour driven development (BDD) as well as business analysis tools and techniques. You will have experience working with full scale Scrum or Kanban, and be a competent user of Jira and Confluence.
Key accountabilities
Lead the detailed analysis into the target state outcomes identifying key requirements, new functional and non-functional requirements to support Fidelity’s Investment Management aspirations.
Provide conceptual solutions to often complicated business problems / needs and make recommendations for preferred solutions, with consideration of associated risks, cost and timescales
Lead requirements gathering and solutions through workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement
To write effective user stories that detail changes to the product/solution
To work with design, development and testing teams on the release of the product
To ensure that regulatory criteria is met through the design process
Detail the business benefits and ensure these are traced through and tracked and realised by the business
Work with senior management and executives to facilitate the sign off / agreement of solutions and recommendations via presentations/demos and workshops/meetings
Liaise with the business and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables and issues
Undertake detailed analysis and re-engineering of processes related to the Investment management asset class processes
Share knowledge and experience of the Investment Management processes and procedures
