Project Manager - Core Innovation

Your role:

The Core Innovation team brings together a combination of research, engineering & prototyping, cultural change and commercialisation to engage and deliver effective outcomes to the organisation.

As a member of the Core Innovation team, you will work on a varied set of initiatives as needed from time to time, ranging from leading experimentations to managing BAU-related transition work 

  • Be responsible for shaping, leading and delivering strategic and/or technical engagements, often multiple projects at a time  

  • Be responsible for bringing structure to ambiguous problems through appropriate frameworks and methodologies and solve them pragmatically to deliver sustainable outcomes 

  • Be responsible for leading cross-functional teams that often include cross-regional teams, and in come cases, external vendor / third parties 

  • Be responsible for leading, partnering with, advising and influencing multiple senior internal clients across the firm 

  • Act as an unbiased advisor for internal clients, listen, bring challenge when necessary, bring transparency, ensure accountability and drive collaboration 

Your role

  • Previous work experience in management consulting, ideally in financial services with a proven delivery track record 

  • Solid analytical skills and critical reasoning skills; ability to analyse data, and translate into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations

  • Excellent stakeholder and service focus, able to work collaboratively with decision-makers from all levels; Manage conflicts effectively and influence positive outcomes

  • Strong conceptual structuring and problem-solving skills, with an ability to break down and understand ambiguous problems, develop creative and pragmatic solutions

  • Strong tolerance for ambiguity and “can do” attitude with an open mindset to oversee projects 

  • Able to motivate, develop and support high performing teams, while delivering under pressure
