Your role:
To provide Compliance support to the WI business with a particular focus on workplace pensions operations and act as a point of expertise for the business and broader compliance team in relation to WI products and services..
The role will be key to maintaining the control framework for overseeing Fidelity’s pension operations and services to ensure good consumer outcomes and application of FCA and other conduct rules.
About you
Good overall knowledge and understanding of the UK occupational pensions industry including consumer journeys, auto enrolment, transfers procedures, contribution investing and switching and areas of related regulate risk.
Knowledge and understanding of the UK or similar regulatory regimes for unit linked investment requirements including product governance and disclosure requirements.
Strong focus on delivering good customer outcomes.
Key accountabilities
Providing specific compliance support to the Operations and Product teams
Supporting WI initiatives specifically relating to operational processes - implementations, contributions, transfers, retirement drawdown etc.
Providing expert advice and challenge on risk events and remediation and review projects regarding compensation to members, overseeing communications
Escalating all material issues to the Chief Compliance Officers of FIL Life and FIL Life Ireland
Providing regulatory advice and guidance on operational related communications and disclosures
Supporting other general counsel groups as required - Legal, Compliance monitoring and Risk.
Essential Experience
Good influencing and negotiating skills. The ability to address difficult situations and having the confidence to express a point of view with conviction.
Strong business partnership skills with ability to build networks across businesses and influence key decision-makers through knowledge, reasoning and relationships
Ability to demonstrate personal honesty and integrity and to speak up when principles and values are being compromised.
Strong customer service ethos, a commitment to quality and the will to constantly drive service improvements.
Self-sufficient, well organised and able to manage priorities and workloads
