Your role

Investment Services and Solutions (ISS) is one of the main business pillars and investment areas within Fidelity. It is going through a phase of the rapid and substantial transformation of its business model as well as the Technology estate.

A key component of the transformation is our data architecture. We have a number of new technologies that we are implementing, including LUSID and Snowflake, and we need to ensure that all components of our architecture work in unison.

As the Lead Data Architect within the ISS Enterprise Architecture team, you will provide leadership to both business and technology stakeholders and a strategy for our data architecture

  • Unite Business, Technology and Data strategies into a technology roadmap
  • Lead the transformation of Fidelity's technology estate
  • Align innovation with strategy and business need
  • Provide strategic thought-leadership for Fidelity
  • Commission key strategy change and drive adoption.
  • Ensure efficient use of change investment leading to maximum business value return
  • Operate across technical, organisation and process challenges to drive the design of enterprise solutions.
  • Instigate and Direct Delivery’s regulatory and compliance engagement, verifying success through governance checks
  • Educate technology and business on solutions and technologies that are relevant to the strategies

Your skills

  • Experience or understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Issue Management
  • Experience in data modelling techniques and creating various data models 
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs for data distribution 
  • Experience in cloud services and architecture
  • Solid understanding of Microservices based architecture.
  • The ability to convey complex, abstract technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent and resourceful problem-solving skills, adaptable with a willingness to learn
