Job Title: Senior Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
Location: London (Hybrid) (Surrey, Kingswood)
Contract Length: 6 months (with 2-year scope)
Department: Enterprise Architecture, Strategy & Process
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is recruiting on behalf of Fidelity International for a Senior Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Strategy to join their Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) function.
Role Overview
Fidelty International has been helping clients build better financial futures for over 50 years. Technology is a critical enabler of this mission, and Fidelity is undertaking a significant transformation toward a cloud-centric, data-driven, and product-aligned operating model.
As a Senior Manager within Enterprise Architecture, you will operate at the intersection of business strategy, technology strategy, and execution. Your role is to shape and maintain Fidelity’s enterprise technology direction—defining target-state architectures, guiding strategic investment decisions, and ensuring coherence across domains as Fidelity continues its journey to “Build an adaptable Fidelity.”
You will act as a senior architectural and strategic partner to technology and business leaders, ensuring that enterprise intent is translated into clear architectural roadmaps, prioritised portfolios, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and evolution of enterprise and domain-level architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory constraints.
Define and maintain target-state and transition-state architectures, articulating clear architectural choices, trade-offs, and dependencies.
Own and curate a living enterprise architecture and strategy map, providing leadership with visibility of alignment, progress, risks, and required course-corrections.
Partner with domain architects, product leaders, and initiative owners to shape coherent, outcome-driven roadmaps across platforms, data, and applications.
Work closely with Enterprise Change and Portfolio teams to provide an end-to-end architectural view of initiatives, informing prioritisation, funding, and sequencing decisions.
Ensure continuous alignment between Business Strategy, Technology Strategy, and ETS execution, proactively identifying duplication, architectural debt, and opportunities for simplification.
Engage with delivery teams to ground architectural intent in execution reality, removing impediments and ensuring architectural guardrails enable—not constrain—delivery.
Define and track architecture and strategy KPIs/OKRs, using data-driven insight to influence decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Support and facilitate quarterly strategy and architecture reviews, ensuring clear ownership, governance, and follow-through.
Partner with Communications teams to translate complex architectural direction into clear, compelling narratives for senior leaders and wider technology audiences.
Required Experience & Capabilities
Proven experience in a senior Enterprise Architecture or technology strategy leadership role within large, complex organisations.
Strong background in financial services or other highly regulated environments (asset management experience highly desirable).
Demonstrated ability to translate enterprise strategy into actionable architectural roadmaps and portfolios of work.
Significant experience influencing senior stakeholders and executives, guiding decisions without formal authority.
Deep understanding of modern technology and delivery models, including cloud-native architectures, Agile at scale, product-centric funding, and DevSecOps.
Strong analytical and systems-thinking capability, with experience using metrics, KPIs, and OKRs to shape architectural and investment decisions.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to articulate complex architectural concepts in a clear, pragmatic, and engaging way.
Desirable Experience
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, SaaS ecosystems, cloud data platforms, and API-driven architectures.
Exposure to AI-enabled products, emerging technologies, and structured horizon-scanning or technology radar practices.
Career background spanning architecture, strategy, product, and delivery roles.
Experience supporting or leading large-scale enterprise technology transformation programmes.
