Your role
Bring your creativity and portfolio to the table, be the creative engine of our visualisations. The Senior Tabelau Visualisations Developer (Senior Analyst Programmer) will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Project / Programme Managers and business users to understand complex functional, technical requirements, then implement them into dashboards using trusted sources of data.
- 5+ years of relevant experience delivering visualization & reporting solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in Tableau Desktop with direct ownership of tableau implementations.
- Working knowledge of the Reporting/Visualization Architecture and different toolset capabilities within BI including Tableau.
- Experience creating different visualizations using Lines, Pies, histogram, Maps, Scatter, Bubbles, Heat Maps, Waterfall, Treemaps etc.
- Experience advanced calculations using Tableau Desktop (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, LOD Expressions).
- Proven knowledge of working with various Tableau Desktop functionalities (Filters, Hierarchies, Sorting, Parameters, Custom Groups, sets Creating Story, Mapping, Action Link etc).
- Experience creating joins, joins with custom SQL and blending data from different data sources using Tableau desktop.
- Exposure to Tableau administration (managing project, workbooks, data sources, user groups, data security, subscriptions, schedules, alerts etc).
- Experience connecting Tableau to various data sources - Oracle, SharePoint, MS Excel, CSV, SQL Server etc. with live connection and extracts.
- ‘Hands on’ system software analysis, development, testing and experience in reporting stream (preferably visualization & analytics).
- Ability to organize, prioritise and plan their own work, while aligning with project priorities and changes to priorities.
- Experience working in a fast paced and AGILE environment.
Your skills
- Tableau Certification, advanced Tableau development skills.
- Working knowledge of Python/R would be ideal.
- Experience in configuration management tools.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Tableau-Prep and/or Alteryx.
- Knowledge of financial services domain (mutual funds and fund accounting).
- Familiarity with the Mutual Funds and Investment Management industry preferred but not essential.
