Your role
The Technology Regulatory Oversight role will provide Technology regulatory compliance expertise specific to the Central European region and the United Kingdom. The role will provide insight to the wider Technology team and support global compliance functions as regards European and UK-specific Technology regulations, including proactive horizon scanning and supporting initial impact assessments of upcoming regulatory change.
Provide European and UK specific (including individual state level - e.g., Germany and Luxembourg) Technology regulatory compliance knowledge and expertise to support the business requirements of the Technology function, including supporting the business to manage risk related to regulatory change
Support Global Compliance and the wider business by providing SME knowledge and experience of UK and Europe-specific Technology regulations
Proactively horizon scan for new Technology-related regulations alongside the Legal and Global Compliance teams, identifying Technology-related regulations, circulars, best practice, guidance, etc. across the EU and UK regions in which Fidelity International operates
Own the impact assessments of upcoming European and UK regulations affecting Technology, assessing the impact and providing recommendations and regulatory compliance advice
Triage identified issues to ensure timely and appropriate responses from the business.
Your skills
Experience in a similar / equivalent position within a global financial services firm, consultancy or financial regulator
Strong experience in Technology regulation and compliance within the Central Europe and the UK
Excellent relationship management and communication skills - ability to effectively communicate, influence and engage at all levels of the organisation
Exhibits personal responsibility and accountability to maintain high standards by continually seeking opportunities to increase efficiency and quality of existing work processes, methods and systems
Demonstrates resilience, adaptability and good judgement
Excellent analytical and logic skills, particularly the ability to think through the impact of change
Flexible and positive attitude, with “can-do” approach, a self-starter that “can think on your feet”
Disciplined and conscientious approach
Familiarity with working collaboratively with multiple functions within a large financial services firm, consultancy or financial regulator.
