Your role

This role sits within the IM Technology team, delivering ongoing change across the Research & Portfolio Management portfolio of projects (Primarily Greenfield). In line with the strategic direction of the department, a significant part of your focus will be on building existing technical capabilities into a modular framework, as well as responsive development in close collaboration with cross asset business teams.

This is a senior technical hands-on role, and you will be expected to provide technical guidance to the development team (UK and India) and contribute to overall system design.  

You will also work closely with the Technical Lead to input into road map and priorities

  • Hands-on development 

  • Provide technical guidance to the Development team (UK, India)

  • Provide input into project timelines, estimation and roadmap

  • Ensure timely completion of work packages in line with project deadline and schedule

  • Supporting the overall delivery of the projects


Your skills

  • Strong mathematical ability

  • Python Application Development (Pandas, NumPy, Conda)

  • Demonstrable ability to design and deliver complex system at scale

  • Sound understanding of object-oriented design principles

  • Investment Management experience 

  • Exposure to cloud technologies (CloudFoundry, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes) & Cloud Native development patterns

  • Micro-service development

  • 2:1 or higher in mathematics, quantitative finance or scientific/engineering discipline.
