Your role

The purpose of the position of AWS Cloud Engineer is to support our Global WorkPlace Investing technology business to role out a new AWS serverless based application for end users to support secure transactional website for pension administration. 

This application is already being delivered in iterations alongside both an existing legacy app and also a Global application. The existing ecosystem is complex with many variables and will require someone who is analytically minded and willing and capable and willing to work in a challenging Global organisational structure

Working alongside multiple stakeholder groups you will need to utilise your experience of working in agile delivery teams to assist with the design, definition, exploration and delivery of an end to end technology solution to service a scaling global Workplace Invesments business. 

The role will be working alongside an existing scrum team primarily based in Ireland but also located in UK and India. The candidate will primarily be working alongside our existing Cloud Engineer (Ireland based) supporting multiple development teams. It is important the candidate understands both DevOps toolchains and cloud architecture’s. The candidate should have prior 

  • Support training of team members in AWS technologies and best practices

  • Support development teams with AWS serverless app

  • Enhance and support security related issues (DivvyCloud)

  • Support AWS platform (fixing of defects, automation of existing manual processes etc.)

  • Continuous improvement of pipelines and infra (Infra as Code, automation)

  • Support existing CI/CD pipeline
